Boarding: Junior boys are in a single dorm with about 20 beds, their own block of toilets and individual showers. Senior boys are in 4-bed rooms, with a similar toilet and shower block within the Senior Dorm.
Tea-making facilities are available to all boys during their free time. We serve morning and afternoon tea and biscuits to all boys, and a fresh fruit is always available. The College runs a tuck shop selling sweets, drinks and other snacks.
Facilities: The College has its own sports field comprising two football/rugby pitches and a running track. In addition we have a hard surface sports area with two basketball courts (also featuring a handball/ 6-a-side soccer pitch) and a tennis court on site. We also make use of a nearby reservoir for rowing, plus a small lake on site for fishing (and swimming in the summer). There is also a climbing wall at the College and an games room for table tennis and other indoor games. Badminton and some other sports take place in a local indoor sports centre.
Sport: Team games provide a natural forum to develop team spirit and to experience healthy physical exertion. Games offer a necessary counterbalance to spiritual, cultural and academic activities, and play a key role in the growth of the whole person.
Cultural Life: For this reason, we aim to give pupil in the school opportunities to play music or sing in the choir, act in theatre plays, visit art galleries, listen to music in a concert setting, experience formal dining, learn to dance, practise the arts of conversation and public speaking, and in general to exposed both passively and actively to the best of western culture.
